#115 INSA HOFFMANN

Feb 11, 2026

Sometimes the deepest work emerges when we stop trying to control it. In this Inspiration Interview, Nicholas sits down with Germany-based artist Insa Hoffmann, whose shift from representational work to letting paintings find themselves is transforming her entire practice.

Insa shares her collage meditation ritual, how she works with the “shy” parts of creativity, and why surrendering to a slow unfolding has brought new depth and freedom to her art. A beautifully honest conversation about transformation, courage, and trusting the work to reveal itself.

  2. It’s always a joy to hear Insa and Nick in conversation! The idea of deconstruction resonated with me since I do a lot of collaging. I also think of these processes of construction and deconstruction even though what I create is very intuitive and spontaneous.
    Thank you!

  3. This interview was incredibly inspiring, I have been a fan of Insa since CVP ’24 & ’25 and missing her this year after CVP. And seeing her journey and the depth of her emotion and insights for herself, the willingness to change and explore and go deeper into what she loves, I could relate! It’s what I want for my art….for my relationship with my art, from my heart and soul. Thank you Insa for sharing so deeply and freely!
