#114 MORGAN IRONS

Jan 14, 2026

In this Interview with Coach Amy Livezey, Morgan Irons shares how the rugged quiet of Montana, a life immersed in nature, and the search for narrative within her paintings have become a well of endless inspiration. She reminds us that nothing in our art is a throwaway. Every mark, every pause, every landscape holds a story waiting to be noticed. Through her quietly powerful figures and spacious compositions, Morgan reveals how simplicity can speak volumes, evoking fortitude, virtue, and connection to the land.

  4. In her unique way Amy has drawn Morgan into sharing herself and her art. Such honoring of intentions here.
If Amy could do only one thing—just one thing— during her A2L Sabbatical, it should, or Must be, to continue these interviews. Remarkably informative and poignant because of Amy’s personality, style and reverence for artists and their work. . Great to hear Morgan’s unique working style in her own words, without an interviewer interrupting to reinterpret.❤️❤️❤️

  5. Wow, this was amazing. I love how she made her painting feel alive. The mother breastfeeding while walking through the field was a powerful image of motherhood.

  6. Wonderful interview Amy. And thank you for platforming such an impressive young talent. Her paintings remind me of the feeling tone and style of Andrew Wyeth’s body of work.

  7. What a beautiful sensitive interview, Amy! Morgan Irons is one very accomplished fantastic painter. And the fact that she lives out in the middle of nowhere (or so it looks) in a cabin by herself is equally astounding.

    • Montana, 30 years at one of the largest ranches, 120 cows and 2500 sheep, 8 houses and never a dull moment. Spent 10 years prior packing mules in the Bob Marshall wilderness….want to process these memories from old slides..
      You women are inspirational
Hope to meet you someday Amy
