What inspires your work?

When the Art2Life CVP started in April, it was with such serendipity as I was starting to notice the connection between my life and my art. My oldest daughter, a marine biologist, had been working with the “Deadliest Catch” commercial fishing crew off the Oregon coast. My concern for her safety made its way into my art this year, intentional or not.

Almost every one of my paintings comes to me with a sense of place from my travels or from something in nature that simply captivates me.
