MASTER CLASS #15 ENCAUSTICS

Oct 3, 2017

Having first gotten her start as a professional photographer, artist Margot Hartford decided to make the jump to encaustics after deciding that she need to not only get away from the darkroom, but the computer as well. She has now become an accomplished encaustics artist, incorporating her photography skills into pieces that are at once subtle and both arresting in their visual beauty. Now, we have the pleasure of watching Margot give a class on how to paint with encaustic.

In this Master Class you will learn:

•  What tools you’ll need to get started
•  Several basic encaustic techniques
•  How to add layers of color
•  How to incorporate photos and other kinds of imagery
