What a great painting, Marji! Thank you so much for these two videos, being able to view the process in such depth is really helpful and precious, thank you, great job! It is so inspiring that I immediately wanted to get back to the easel to paint.
This video was so so helpful. Thank you for taking the time! Where can I find the DOC/PDF that you menton at the end? Lori
Hi Lori, the document showing the passes on the painting is now available.
Thank you, Marjorie! What a treat to watch you paint. All the twists and turns you make with this painting. There’s a story. It was great fun to watch it play out. Beautiful!!
Thanks Kelly. It was one of those paintings that actually worked from start to finish without too much wiggling.
Marji, I looked forward to this! I loved watching the first part, and loved even more the second part! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort, I know it’s a lot, to show us your process.

Thanks Nancy. I’m so happy to hear you liked dropping in to my studio for a little painting time.
Thanks so much Marjorie. I love your work and your process. I also lived in Seattle, some 50 years ago 🙂 You do such a wonderful job of transporting the viewer into your magical interpretation of the Pacific Northwest. Your mark making and brushstrokes are so intentional yet loose and spontaneous. Thanks for breaking down the steps in this video.
A fellow Northwesterner! Thanks Susan, I’m happy to hear your enjoyed the video.
Thank you so much for these 2 excellent classes Marjorie! Simply spellbinding. Your approach really embraces the marriage between principles and intuition so beautifully. These really got me excited to keep painting.
Yay for the excitement to keep painting! That is wonderful. It is a dance between intuition and thought. Its magical when it clicks.

Hi Marjorie!! So loved watching your process and it inspires me a lot just curious allso what to use to shield an area is that a gel you use? Thanks so much for this video. Josianne
The product I use to mask an area is called Peel Tek. Its a water based liquid latex product that is used for commercial painting. You can find it in some hardware stores, amazon sometimes has it, and there are independent sellers online that carry it.
