  3. Thanks Nadine, this masterclass is very thought provoking. I’m really pleased you emphasised the importance that AI doesn’t replace human experience nor our soul. I can see the benefit in idea generation and I hope it isn’t naive of me to have faith collectors will see the difference between soul infused art and art created solely through interpreting AI generated ideas.

  6. I love technology and I realise that we are entwined with it, it is definitely useful, I wouldn’t want to be without it. But if you cannot figure out what you’re feeling, or you don’t know where to start, getting ideas from ChatGPT is not going to help you in the long run. The answers may seem to be tailored to you more and more over time, but in fact, it is learning your language and then assuming that the vast data it draws upon will suit you. Because searches feed the data base, it will also provide your data to others in their answers, so that means everyone has a bit of this and a bit of that from the data pool. So where does originality come from? Plus, if you upload your work to get answers, don’t assume that it’s going to be safe and sound. You’re never going to develop, or have a breakthrough – or be ORIGINAL – if you don’t put in the work yourself.

    • Hi Anna, I agree that we need to put in the time to discover what we are connected to and what inspires us in our art and life. Chatgpt is only a tool; it can never replace the thing that makes our art great: the human connection. Anytime we upload an image to the internet, websites, or social media platforms, our art gets sent into the world and can be susceptible to scammers. It’s so unfortunate. Chatgpt may not be for everyone, but for those who might be interested in how AI works, this is an excellent platform. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I think it’s so valuable to hear another point of view.

  7. It’s crazy how good Chat GPT is. I used it recently to write a lesson plan based on an idea I had. It gave me a supply list, step by step instructions on process, intro comments, debrief questions and cut my writing time by hours!

I also had it suggest detailed itineraries for each day of a vacation. I asked it to insert art galleries, museums and murals along the way. What a treat!

Thanks for the art related suggestions!

  9. Thank you, Nadine!
I lead a very analog life, so I am excited to use this to help me when writing about my work. I know I could be doing things so much easier.
Yes, this is a computer, so adding to the ideas with my own words is the perfect combination.

  10. Thank you Nadine! This was very informative. I always struggle with titles for my work. Now that I know I can actually upload a painting it will be easier to get some suggestions. It’s good to know I can add some info about myself to my profile. This will probably help with getting more relevant titles. Also, as I use it more, I am sure the answers will be more and more tailored to my work.
I downloaded the Chat GPT app a month ago and have now signed up on my laptop. I assume the two platforms will sync with each other?

    • Hi Jane, I am so glad you found this informative. The two will sync if you use the same login information.
