Thank you so much Jenny and Marji! I love your work Jeeny. I agree with Marji, you capture the feeling of an urban space with the angles, colour, light and shadow.
I am also British born and have lived in Barcelona for the last thirty years. At college, I painted abstracted classical architecture in my own choice of colours so although your work is very different I could really relate to your work. You landscapes are aso really beautiful.
I am hoping to come to Madrid next April, if you fanvy meeting up with an Academy memeber, I would love to meet you and some of your fabulous work for real!
Thank you again!
Thank you both for the wonderful conversation.I just recently figured out that lines and angles come quite natural to me, while rounded shapes seem not to be part of my hand movement. I love to construct, create depth and play with perspective and I was slowly wondering what I could do to enhance this. This interview seems to come at exactly the right moment for more inspiration.
I loved this conversation which was full of information that comes at the point when I am ready to hear it. Love Jenny’s approach to arriving at the sweet spot between abstract and representational work.
Beautyful! and very inspiring! i am also struggling to simplifying my paintings. Thanks for the good advices about your process.
Beautiful!!! Just HOW does she get those thin lines and the triangular leaf shapes!!!
Such beautiful work. Thank you for the wonderful discussion.
Thank you so much Marji for this interview and Jenny for sharing your process. I love both your work and felt really inspired by the conversation. I have collected photos of buildings and nature for decades because the lines and shapes intrigue me. The trick is to incorporate what I love into the actual work in progress.
What a great conversation! I love “shoptalk” and this was chock full of that in such a great way. I am excited to follow Jenny on Instagram, Marji your interview style is so nice. I really appreciate it!
This interview was incredible! I absolutely love her work; it’s such an inspiration for me. It’s amazing to see how sharp lines can create shapes and compositions that are just as impactful as organic ones. So reassuring! Thank you Marji and Jenny!
